Wildlife Sightings May 2020
Sunrise at Deteema Camp is an awesome and spectacular splendour filled with impala snorts and growls. It’s that time of the year where males are territorial and fighting each other off their arena. They do this with vigour as they parade their prowess passed down to them by succession.
It is hard to turn away from these ever-running antelope that are either herding females to contain them in their domains or chasing off rivals in endless cycles of nature.
The commotion draws predators like lions in anticipation of an easy meal and certainly sparks a reaction from the elephants. Baboons’ echoing calls filtering through the bush brings unparalleled enthusiasm and closeness to nature.
