Machaba Safaris is a family-owned conservation company founded by Alistair Rankin, Murray Collins, and the late Chris Hatshe in Botswana, together with Blessing Munyenyiwa in Zimbabwe. We are dedicated to preserving the natural beauty and wildlife of Africa and passionate about sharing authentic African experiences. With 12 camps spread across Botswana and Zimbabwe, we offer genuine experiences that reflect our deep-rooted connections with local communities and our unwavering commitment to conservation.

The Story Behind Machaba SafarisMachaba Safaris was born from our founders' shared love for Africa's wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Alistair Rankin, Murray Collins, and the late Chris Hatshe envisioned a company that would offer timeless and genuine safari experiences, all while prioritising conservation. Our camps are strategically located in some of the most untouched and wildlife-rich areas of Botswana and Zimbabwe, allowing guests to fully immerse themselves in the natural splendour of southern Africa.

One of our proudest achievements is the establishment of a preschool, providing education and support to children in our local communities. In honour of Chris Hatshe's legacy, we plan to expand this initiative by opening four additional preschools over the next five years, furthering our impact on local education and community development.
