Ingwe Pan Camp Wildlife Sightings November 2023
The temperature has been hot continuously throughout November but encourages the promise of the drawing rains. The start of the month there was a small shower of about 30ml, just enough to settle the dust. Each passing day sees a gradual increase in heat, while the hope for rain persists.
A Good Hunt
Our guests had an enchanting encounter while on game drive. We had seen wild dogs on a few occasions before, however this time, they were actively engaged in a hunt. The alpha dog skillfully led the pack, displaying precision, speed, and accuracy in coordinating the pursuit.
In a swift and coordinated effort, they successfully captured an impala, leaving the guests in awe of the dramatic scene. After a few mouthfuls the dogs decided to return to the shade of the nearby trees.
Lions Roar at Night
At camp one night we were all thrilled to hear the not-so-distant roars of a male lion. He continued for a while, making his presence known. For us it was a reminder of the wildness of this part of the world.
Lions On The Deck
Recently we have been visited by two male lions who have decided that the decks of our tents are a great place to relax during the day. The shade of the tents is ideal for a napping lion in this summer heat!
It may be very hot at the moment during the day but the animals are still wonderfully active. Giving our guests the safari adventure they’ve dreamed of.
Until next time,
Nkosana and Misty
